YOU'RE GOING TO LEARN HOW TO TALK TO YOUR BRAIN.

Why?

BECAUSE YOU ARE PROBABLY SAYING THINGS THAT PUSH THAT DANGER BUTTON.

IF YOU WILL STOP TELLING YOUR ALARM CENTER THAT THERE'S DANGER, IT WILL LEARN ON ITS OWN NOT TO PUSH THAT DANGER BUTTON.

Your alarm center responds quickly and simply. It has only one task: to protect you. It's a life-saver during true danger. But it takes all the fun out of other, non-dangerous times. Well, if the alarm center is trying to protect you, why does it keep pushing the danger button during non-dangerous times? Excellent question! Very important answer: because you keep telling It that there is danger! You can't flip the alarm off instantly but you can flip it on in a flash. When you get scared about an event, you worry. When you worry, you say things like:

• "What if I have the same trouble as last time? I don't want that."

• "I could get anxious there. I don't want to be anxious. I want to feel relaxed."

• "I'm not going because I don't know how it's going to turn out."

• "Something bad could happen."

• "What if I get embarrassed? I can't handle that."

• "What if I get hurt? I don't want to get hurt."
